Time Out
Yesterday I realized that Tyler really does understand what time out is all about. While I was getting his dinner ready, he was sitting at the table playing with his "Mac" truck and some other cars. All of a sudden he got down and ran down the hallway and when he came back he informed me that "Mack" was in time out (in the bathroom). I asked him why "Mack" was in time out and he said that he pushed Ferari (one of his cars). I was trying to go along with him, but I did bust up laughing!
So, obviously he knows what time out is for if he is using it correctly, but how hilarious is that?

New Tyler Phrases
Tyler's vocabulary is really taking off and lately these phrases come out of his mouth that are just hilarious to hear from a two year old. I wanted to share a couple here:
1. Over the weekend Tyler wanted to go outside and I told him to let me finish up the breakfast dishes and then we'll go. While I was doing that he got busy coloring and when I finished I asked him if he wanted to go outside yet and he said "No, I'm coloring". I told him we better go now before it gets too hot to be outside and he answered with "Mom, give me a break!"
2. A few nights ago, I was trying to get Tyler's pajamas on him and he just wasn't settling down. He kept wiggling and trying to run away. I kept saying something like the quicker I get you dressed, the quicker you can go (out of the bathroom). Finally he stopped, looked right at me and said "What are you talking about Mommy?" I guess he didn't quite understand my long explanation on why he was suppose to hold still.
I suppose these are phrases I have said at one point or another, but it is just hilarious when it comes out of your two year old!

Phoenix Chidlren's Museum
Measuring beans in the scale
Racing cars
Driving through the car wash
What a little stunt man
Chef Tyler's pizza creation!
Since it has been while since we have been there, Tyler and I took a trip to the Children's Museum in Phoenix today. It has been almost a year since we have been there and they have made some exciting changes. We got to run through the noodle forest (which was under construction the last time) and explore many other wonderful things.

PARTY!!!
Swimming in the pool
Mmmm....CAKE!!!
This is sooooooo good!
The Fitness Gang- Tyler, Josh, Gillian, Lexi & Jayden
And Tyler's favorite, the pinata!
This past weekend we attended Lexi's 3rd birthday party. We had a great time swimming, eating and playing with friends. Tyler learned how to swim in an inner tube by himself and also showed off his pinata skills after some yummy cake. Here are some photos from the party.

And 3 will become 4.....
Although many of you already know, I am ready to officially announce that we are pregnant again!! My due date is Feb. 18th, although I have already been told that I will have a c-section at 38 weeks, which will put it more at the beginning of February. I have seen the doctor twice and everything is looking good at this point. I will keep you posted on the progress of Baby Fox in the coming months.
Tyler doesn't really understand what is going on just yet, but we are planning to move him into a new room (our guest room, aka Ga's room) and leave his room painted the way it is for the baby. I think it will be easier to explain it to him once we do that and we have the nursery set up for the baby. It will be fun painting and decorating his new Big Boy room, of course we are going to do a cars theme (what else would be in Tyler's room).
We are very excited and also a little nervous, funny how quickly you forget what it's like to have a little one in the house.

Arizona Museum of Natural History
Outside the Natural History Museum
Wow! Now that's a big dinosaur.
Too bad the doors to the jail cells didn't lock....
Panning for gold!
It was more fun to just splash in the water!
Yesterday my sister and I took the boys to the Arizona Museum of Natural History. We had never been there before and we all had a great time. The boys enjoyed seeing the huge dinosaur replicas, bones, fossils, and panning for gold. What a great way to spend a hot day!! Here are some photos from the museum....

A Real Dinner!
Last night we finally got Tyler to eat what we were having for dinner! I made a chicken and rice casserole and at first Tyler wouldn't eat it. He ate his apple slices and then said he was done, but later when Daddy got home and was eating his dinner Tyler asked for his food. I gave him the chicken and rice casserole in a bowl to eat with Daddy. He wasn't too excited at first, but after a few minutes he at least tried it and said it was good. Of course he was careful not to get any vegetables on his spoon. I was just happy he had eaten some rice and REAL chicken (not in the shape of a nugget). I am just hoping we can repeat this and it wasn't just a one time thing. I am finding it very hard to feed my two-year old these days!!
We'll see.....
