The first night didn't go much better with Sebastian up most of the night. He wasn't happy unless someone was holding him, which meant not a lot of sleeping for mom and dad. Many of our nights went like that, especially after Sebastian got sick. He had a lot of trouble breathing when he was laying down so he spent a lot of time sleeping in a chair with Mom, Dad or Gramma. The down part of the week was that we ALL got sick at one point or another. I guess we weren't ready for the drastic change in weather (27 degrees when we got up the first morning).
Trip to South Bend:
On Sunday Jef and I headed out on a road trip from Memphis, TN to South Bend, IN to see the Notre Dame campus. It was about a 9 hour drive for us, which is why we chose to leave the boys with Gramma in TN. It was a long drive through a lot of farm land, but well worth the trip. The campus was absolutely beautiful, even in the snow. The weather was a bit chilly, 17 degrees when we got there to start our tour. We visited the bookstore (and made a small donation), the Basilica, the football stadium, Jef's dorm and a bunch of other beautiful buildings. I can only imagine what the campus looks like in the Spring, but I probably won't get a chance to get back then.
We also took a break (to warm up) and ordered a pretzel. I thought it was pretty cool that the pretzel came in the shape of ND!
The rest of the week was spent visiting with family and friends, making cookies, playing outside and of course eating some really good home cooking! Tyler got in plenty of playtime with Gramma and anyone else he could get a hold of. Sebastian also got in some good playtime and even picked up some new skills while we were gone. He can now drink out of a sippy cup and walk holding on to your fingers!

It was a lot of hard work!
We were very blessed this Christmas and had a wonderful time in TN. We are very blessed. Hope everyone else had a wonderful holiday season.
