A typical day....

This is a typical day at our house with two rambunctious boys!

Playtime!

There's a whole new world to explore now that Sebastian is getting better at this walking thing. He's not completely walking, but very, very close!

Bring it on Sunshine!

Tonight at dinner I tried something different with Tyler. We have been struggling with getting him to eat what is on his plate, so tonight I set a timer for 20 min. and told him how much he had to eat before the timer went off. If he didn't eat his diner, he would loose his playtime after bath. I went to get the timer and came back and asked him if he understood. His reply was, "Bring it on sunshine". Now, if I hadn't been laughing so hard, I probably would have been offended by his response. I just don't know where he comes up with this stuff! I know I have never used that phrase!!

Oh, and in case you were wondering, the timer idea worked really well. I set it and then just left him alone and didn't harp on him to eat. He slowly started eating his carrots and roast. He did finish his dinner (or at least the amount I required of him) and had his play time after bath. Yeah, a successful evening (minus the sunshine comment).

Sebastian is becoming more and more daring these days. There really isn't anything he won't try and he is learning the word "NO" very quickly. That doesn't mean he always listens, but he does often crawl over to the water bowl and say "no no no".

Oh how these birthdays are flying by. It seems like just yesterday we brought this little baby home and all of a sudden he has become this little boy! Just felt like reminiscing a little....

4 Years Old!!!

My little man turns 4 years old today! I can't believe how fast he is growing up. It has been so much fun watching him learn and change from a baby to a toddler and now to a little boy. He is so funny, creative and has a great imagination. He is really looking forward to playing with his little brother. He can't wait until he is big enough to wrestle with. Happy Birthday Tyler, we love you!!!

"Bad Guys"

I took this video of the boys playing in their play house today. Notice how I was trying to redirect Tyler's train of thought (without much luck). He has been very intent on "bad guys" lately. I eventually did convince him to cook something for me and Sebastian.
