Getting dirty

The weather is getting really nice, so we've been spending a lot of time outside lately. Of course, there is nothing better than getting making mud pies and getting dirty!

Arizona Museum for Youth

Earlier this week we went to the Arizona Museum for Youth with some friends. Here are a few of our friends that joined us. Hunter & Sebastian in the back, Lucas & Madalyn in the front.

They boys building a tower.

Sugar Eggs!

Welcome back sugar eggs! It's been a while since I've made these, but I thought I'd give it a try after all these years. These are sugar eggs (for decoration only) made from a sugar mold, inside is carved out for little bunnies or eggs and some Easter grass and then I made flowers to decorate the top. Tyler wanted to make one too, so I let him help with one (can you guess which one is his). I tried to get a picture of the inside, but it just wouldn't work.

Happy Easter Everyone!

Carlsbad Beach

This was Sebastian's first trip to the beach. He was not very excited about the water crashing into the beach, but he finally warmed up to walking on the beach a little.

Tyler on the other hand, had a blast at the beach. It was a very cold day, only about 58 degrees out, but that didn't stop him from getting wet. He had fun running up and down the beach and splashing in the water.

Legoland Sea Life

Ah! Tyler was swallowed by a shark at the Sea Life Aquarium!!

Here is the castle that Tyler spent hours and hours building.
(just kidding) this castle was already constructed, Tyler just added a few finishing touches.

Legoland

We made our first trip to a theme park with the boys over Spring Break. Last week we headed over to Legoland for some fun. We had a wonderful time and really enjoyed being there. One of Tyler's favorite rides was this fairy tale boat ride where all the characters were made out of Legos. We rode this three times and it was still amazing to see the Lego displays.

Here are the boys with Darth Vadar. Sebastian was not very excited to be this close, but Tyler really liked it. There was a whole section devoted to Star Wars that was just awesome.

Tyler and Jef braved the cold and rode the wave runners.

Sebastian was too small to ride some of the bigger rides that Tyler could ride, so we kept busy by exploring other parts of Legoland.
