Legoland Sea Life

Ah! Tyler was swallowed by a shark at the Sea Life Aquarium!!

Here is the castle that Tyler spent hours and hours building.
(just kidding) this castle was already constructed, Tyler just added a few finishing touches.

Legoland

We made our first trip to a theme park with the boys over Spring Break. Last week we headed over to Legoland for some fun. We had a wonderful time and really enjoyed being there. One of Tyler's favorite rides was this fairy tale boat ride where all the characters were made out of Legos. We rode this three times and it was still amazing to see the Lego displays.

Here are the boys with Darth Vadar. Sebastian was not very excited to be this close, but Tyler really liked it. There was a whole section devoted to Star Wars that was just awesome.

Tyler and Jef braved the cold and rode the wave runners.

Sebastian was too small to ride some of the bigger rides that Tyler could ride, so we kept busy by exploring other parts of Legoland.

Renaissance Festival

We've never done this with the boys, so we decided to give it a try. We went to the Renaissance Festive with our friend Ally and her parents. The kids all had a good time seeing the people dressed up in costume and of course, riding the rides. Here are Tyler and Ally's body art. Tyler got a dragon and Ally got a mermaid.

Close up of Tyler's dragon

He also came home with a sword and shield.

And so did Sebastian!

This is Daddy and the boys riding one of the rides. They were all hand driven rides, which was interesting. These guys pushed this big goose back and forth until it had enough momentum to keep swinging for a while. Talk about a good workout!

Big 5 year old!!

For Tyler's 5th birthday he wanted a Dinosaur Party. We came up with a few good games for this dinosaur party like this "Dino Dig". The kids gathered around the sand box to dig up some dinosaur bones.

Next, the kids gathered around to get instructions for the "Dino Egg Hunt". The kids had to search the yard for dinosaur eggs and mini dinosaurs.

Of course our party wouldn't be complete without a dinosaur march. The kids all put their dinosaur masks on, lined up and set off marching to Laurie Berkner's "We are the Dinosaurs". It was very cute to watch and they let out a good ROAR!!

Of course, our party couldn't have been complete without PB&J dinosaur sandwiches and....

CAKE!!!! Happy Birthday Tyler!

The Christmas Story (cont.)

Here is Tyler in his King costume before the play. He was very excited as were Mommy & Daddy to watch his first production. Way to go Tyler!

The Christmas Story

Tyler's preschool put on a performance tonight of the Christmas Story. The play was put on by the 4 year old class and the kids did an excellent job with all of their parts. Tyler was one of the kings and had a small speaking part in the beginning to introduce the play.

Here are the Kings coming out with their gifts.

Tyler introducing the play and asking the parents to please turn off their cell phones.
