New scooter

Here is Tyler with one of his birthday presents, a new scooter!  We took it out for a spin yesterday and it seems to be a big hit.  Happy Birthday Tyler!

6 years old!

It is hard to believe that another year has flown by already, but birthday time is here again.  Today Tyler turned 6 years old!  He has had a busy year with full day kindergarten, piano lessons and sports.  He is doing an excellent job in school and continues to amaze us with his reading and writing skills.  Some favorites of his these days include anything Star Wars,  his new DS, building with Legos, and battling his brother with their Imaginext guys and castles.

Tonight we let Tyler choose something special to do for his birthday and he chose bowling.  This was only the second time he has ever been bowling.  The whole family went together and it was a lot of fun!  Tyler did the first few frames on his own and then finished out the game with the bowling ramp.  He ended up scoring a 79!  Sadly though, Mommy only scored an 83.  Daddy was the big winner with a score of 115!   Here are a few pictures of our bowling fun.

Where has the time gone?  It's hard to believe that our little baby is now 3 years old.  It seems like just the other day we were sitting by his side in the NICU and now he hardly sits still at all.  It has been such a joy to watch him grow and see his personality come out.  He loves to laugh and be silly, loves playing Legos especially with his brother, loves to play outside and ride his scooter, and loves to eat especially cheese sticks.  Sebastian makes us laugh and smile every day and we look forward to watching him grow and master each challenge that comes his way.

Zoo Trip

It was a beautiful morning so we headed out to the zoo with my sister and her two youngest boys.  We haven't been to the zoo in a while and were pleasantly surprised to see all the new changes that have been going on.

We headed over to Harmony Farm first to see the petting zoo and of course, climb on the tractors:

The boys were all impressed with the giant turtles.  We watched them have a little snack.

Pumpkin Painting

This year Tyler asked if we could paint a pumpkin instead of carve it.  (He has never been a fan of sticking his hand inside the pumpkin to help clean it out.)  So, yesterday after school, that's exactly what we did.  It was a combined effort, as we only had one pumpkin to paint.  So, Tyler took one side and Sebastian took the other.

Not your usual pumpkin face, but it sure was fun!  We'll call it abstract pumpkin painting!

Race for the Cure

The Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure was last weekend.  I have participated every year for the past 10 years.  This year I took Sebastian and my sister joined us with her youngest son Casey.  The boys did a great job entertaining each other before the walk started.
