Our big 3 year old!

Where has the time gone?  It's hard to believe that our little baby is now 3 years old.  It seems like just the other day we were sitting by his side in the NICU and now he hardly sits still at all.  It has been such a joy to watch him grow and see his personality come out.  He loves to laugh and be silly, loves playing Legos especially with his brother, loves to play outside and ride his scooter, and loves to eat especially cheese sticks.  Sebastian makes us laugh and smile every day and we look forward to watching him grow and master each challenge that comes his way.

Zoo Trip

It was a beautiful morning so we headed out to the zoo with my sister and her two youngest boys.  We haven't been to the zoo in a while and were pleasantly surprised to see all the new changes that have been going on.

We headed over to Harmony Farm first to see the petting zoo and of course, climb on the tractors:

The boys were all impressed with the giant turtles.  We watched them have a little snack.

Pumpkin Painting

This year Tyler asked if we could paint a pumpkin instead of carve it.  (He has never been a fan of sticking his hand inside the pumpkin to help clean it out.)  So, yesterday after school, that's exactly what we did.  It was a combined effort, as we only had one pumpkin to paint.  So, Tyler took one side and Sebastian took the other.

Not your usual pumpkin face, but it sure was fun!  We'll call it abstract pumpkin painting!

Race for the Cure

The Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure was last weekend.  I have participated every year for the past 10 years.  This year I took Sebastian and my sister joined us with her youngest son Casey.  The boys did a great job entertaining each other before the walk started.

Rock Climbing (take 2)

Tyler really had fun the first time he went rock climbing so we decided to try it again.  It really is an inexpensive way to get some energy out and it's great exercise.  I had to take Sebastian with me this time though and he is sooooo ready to climb.  He kept saying, "I climb with Tydo".  Not for another few years buddy, you have to be 5!  So Sebastian and I watched from the observation area and cheered Tyler on.

Piano Rectial

Tyler has been taking piano lessons after school with a company called Elements Music for the past 6 weeks.  He has caught on very quickly and has learned a lot about notes & rhythms.  This afternoon was his first recital and he has been working very hard on his song.... Star Wars. 

Soccer Time!

This morning was Tyler's first soccer game of the season.  His team is the Great White Sharks.  We are trying out a different league this year and so far it is going well.  They only play with 3 kids from each team during a game, so the kids get more playing time.  Sebastian even had fun cheering his big brother on, "Go Tydo!"  (Tyler is #7)
