Christmas in Memphis
We traveled to Memphis again this year on Dec. 19th to spend Christmas with Jef's side of the family. We spent about a week and a half there and had some very crazy weather. We started off in Pensacola, Florida with Gramma and PaPa where it was a warm 80 degrees. After a couple of days there, we all piled into the truck and drove the 7 hours to Memphis, TN. As we drove, we watched the temperature drop very quickly. Our first night in Memphis was a chilly 9 degress!! The next day Tyler wanted to go outside and play, so after about 10 minutes of getting him bundled up, we ventured out in the cold. It had warmed up to about 22 degress by then! We didn't stay outside long before Tyler decided he was cold. We had a few days of really cold weather, but by the end of the week it was back up to 73 degrees!! He had a great time visiting with family and friends and of course, playing with new toys. Santa was very good to Tyler this year!! After about a week, we piled back in the car and drove the 7 hours back to Florida to rest for a few days before flying home. Gramma & I took Tyler to the Navarre Beach one morning to play in the sand. He wasn't too fond of the cold sand on his feet, but after we put his shoes back on we all played in the sand and build sand castles for a while. Tyler was a good little flyer- he slept a lot, ate a lot and watched the Wonder Pets. It was a long week and we had a lot of fun, but I am also glad that we are home. Now, if I could just get everything unpacked and put away.....
