Well Check Updates

I took both boys in last week for their well checks. It was a bit of a challenge and we ended up being there for quite a while, but all went well.

As you know, Tyler is now 4 years old. He is holding strong in the 50th percentile for both height and weight. He weighed in at 36 1/2 pounds and 40 1/2 in. tall. He was quite a brave boy, especially when it came to getting 5 vaccines! He was scheduled to get one, but since he is over 4 he could get all of his kindergarten shots and we wouldn't have to come back, so we went for it. There were some tears, but all in all he handled it very well. At least now he is all done until age 11! The thing that worried him the most after he got his shots, was that Sebastian was up next and he didn't want them to give him any shots. He was very concerned that they were going to hurt him and he was going to cry. Aww, what a nice big brother.

Sebastian had his 15 months well check which also went well. He is still on the small side, but he has made some gains. He weighed in at 17lbs, 11oz and measured 29 1/2 in. long. Sebastian started walking a few weeks ago and he has really taken off with that. There is no sitting still for our little guy anymore. He has so many things to explore and so many things to do. He is also really enjoying playing more and more with his brother. He is understanding simple directions and exploring his voice more and more. Along with a lot of babbling, he definitely has "DaDa" down and I've heard "MaMa" a couple of times. He is at a really fun stage of exploring, discovering and mimicking. And yes, Sebastian did get his 3 vaccinations despite his brother's protests. He was not happy about the shots, but luckily it didn't last too long.
